Ginn Room Bar

The Main Bar is the Ginn Room after which the Inn has been named.

This unique rounded room where, in bygone times, horses walked around turning the grindstone to crush the crops, known as ‘ginning’, offers a good selection of soft drinks, wines, spirits – including a variety of local gins, and local Cumbrian Craft Ales.

Top dining

The Dining Areas exude a warm glow, and meals served include a hearty Cumbrian Grill or Continental breakfast.

We are proud of our home-made food,  and keen to use quality local Cumbrian produce.  Our enthusiastic chefs are prepared to cater for any special request if given 24 hours notice.
At lunchtime and in the evening we have an extensive menu and specials board that includes traditional home-cooked food as well as chef’s speciality dishes and a wide range of desserts.

Our traditional Sunday Lunch is always popular.

We  welcome children and we have a large Children’s menu, including toddler portions, with an activity page to occupy them while they wait for their meal.

We cater for Functions, Parties, Christenings, Funeral Teas and informal Weddings  and menus can be tailor-made to suit your requirements and budget.

At the Old Ginn House, wherever possible, we use fresh local produce from local suppliers

If you would like a table on a Friday or Saturday evening or for Sunday lunch it is advisable to book in advance to avoid disappointment
