Although all Covid-19 restrictions have been lifted in England, we still have a duty of care to our staff, customers, and guests, therefore we are continuing with a number of measures to try to minimise the risk the risk of contracting and spreading the virus.    See below

We have always considered that cleanliness is most important and have worked with our professional suppliers of cleaning products to ensure that we have the best products to use.

And, of course, we are encouraging all staff and guests to wash and sanitise their hands thoroughly and often.  

We are continuing with the following daily practices to minimise the risk of contracting and spreading the virus:-

  • To allow for more intensive cleaning and sanitising of rooms between guests, the check-in time is 3pm and check-out time is by 10.30am. It may not be possible to have an early check-in or late check-out.

  • Check-in and check-out will be done with ‘social distance’ in mind -

    Please come to reception to collect your key and we will direct you to your room. 

    We will send an e-registration form, for completion, prior to arrival. 

    The payment for your accommodation will be taken remotely on the day of arrival using the bank card used to secure the booking. (Payment for non-refundable / non- exchangeable bookings will be taken on the day the booking is made). A receipt will be sent by email. 


  • Please leave your room keys in the box in reception on the morning of departure.


  • Hand sanitiser is available at the entrance doors, and other areas within the building.  We ask that you please use it.


  • During this period of higher risk and to respect your personal space please let us know if you do not require your room to be serviced. 

  • Cushions, throws and soft furnishings throughout are treated with Shieldplus by Panaz™, an antimicrobial protective cleaning system.


  • To allow more space and to assist with social distancing some tables have been removed from the restaurant.


  • As usual, all cooked breakfasts are made to order.

  • Restaurant meals are by advanced booking only.  To guarantee meal reservations and preferred dining times, could hotel guests please contact us in advance of their stay.


  • Table service for food and drink.


  • Tables will be thoroughly sanitised after each use, and there will be on-going cleaning of all public areas.


  • We request that if you have any covid-19 symptoms to please cancel any booking.


  • If you show any covid-19 symptoms, for the safety of other guests and our staff, you will be asked to leave.                                


We hope that everyone visiting the Old Ginn House will be responsible so that we can continue to welcome you as ‘normally’ as possible. We thank you for your understanding and co-operation.
